Our Traditional Casement Windows

Due to its design, a casement window is very versatile. A side-hinged window makes the window very adaptable to many different architectural styles, and other operating windows don't easily match its smooth operation. These windows can stand alone or be combined to form a wall of windows. Our traditional casement window features crank-out sash operation utilizing a concealed point dyad operator with a multipoint locking system and standard lift-out aluminum screen.

  • Jamb: 1½" thick: 4⅜"wide (jamb extenders available).
  • Sash: 1¾" thick on standard sizes; 2½ stiles and top rail; 3¾ bottom rails, maximum width 3'6", maximum height 8'0"
  • Glazing: Standard ¾" annealed clear dual-glaze with dark bronze spacer.
  • Screen: Bronze aluminum screen is standard, Interior aluminum lift-out screen with charcoal gray fiberglass mesh.
Redwood Brown

Redwood Brown

Traditional Casement Windows are available in Incense Cedar, Mahogany or Vertical Grain Douglas Fir.

This particular example shows Mahogany with a Redwood Brown finish.

One of the most stable hardwoods, Mahogany varies in color from yellowish and pinkish tones to reddish brown. Irregularities in its rich grain can create distinctively attractive figures giving Mahogany a beautiful feel, full of lovely surprises and discoveries. What's more, Mahogany polishes to a high luster, making it a favorite among many.

Wirebrushed

Wirebrushed

There are multiple textures you may apply to your windows.

This particular example shows a Wirebrushed texture.

This time-honored technique brings vibrance and energy to the wood by accentuating the grain patterns. Standard with our Incense Cedar, Wirebrushing requires less maintenance than our Sanded textures. Its rough, rustic, knotty look is both charming and reminiscent of an older time.
